Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using GuitarMap, you agree to these terms of service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the service.

The Service

GuitarMap is a web application that uses AI to transcribe guitar audio into interactive tablature. We provide tools for playback, editing, and exporting guitar tabs.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use GuitarMap
• One person per account — don't share your login credentials

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use GuitarMap for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the service
• Circumvent usage limits or rate limiting
• Reverse engineer or scrape the service
• Resell or redistribute the service without permission

A note on copyright: GuitarMap is a transcription tool. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to transcribe the audio you upload. We do not host or distribute copyrighted music.

Intellectual Property

• Your content: You own the transcriptions and tabs you create using GuitarMap. We don't claim any rights to your work.
• Our platform: GuitarMap's code, design, and brand are our intellectual property. Don't copy, modify, or redistribute them.

Payment & Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice
• You can cancel anytime — access continues through the end of the billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you have a concern

Service Availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime.

Limitation of Liability

GuitarMap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time through your settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you via email for significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
